What we Believe
1. The Gospel
We believe the gospel is the good news of God’s kingdom, revealed in the person and work of Jesus Christ. It is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes. The gospel tells us that God, in His great love and mercy, sent His Son Jesus to live a perfect life, die as our substitute on the cross, and rise from the dead for the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life (Romans 1:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1–4).
2. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith and practice and contains everything we need for life and godliness. The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, point to Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of God's promises and the hope for all who believe (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21; John 5:39).
3. God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person of the Trinity is fully God, and together they work in perfect unity to accomplish God's sovereign purposes in creation, salvation, and sanctification (Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
4. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and died on the cross to atone for our sins. His death and resurrection provide the only way for sinners to be reconciled to God. He is the only mediator between God and humanity, and He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1–14; Colossians 1:15–20; Acts 4:12).
5. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. The Holy Spirit regenerates believers, empowers them to live the Christian life, and equips them for service in the church and in the world. The Holy Spirit also seals believers as God's children and guarantees their inheritance in Christ (John 14:16–17; Romans 8:9–11; Ephesians 1:13–14).
6. Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We are justified by faith, not by works, and our salvation is entirely the work of God, from election to glorification. Those who trust in Christ for salvation are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given the gift of eternal life (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 3:28; 1 Peter 1:3–5).
7. The Church
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all believers, both locally and globally. The local church is a community of believers who gather to worship, teach, encourage, and serve one another. We believe that the Church is commissioned to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, baptize new believers, and teach them to obey all that Jesus has commanded (Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27).
8. The Kingdom of God and Christ’s Return
We believe that Jesus Christ will return in glory to establish His eternal Kingdom. At His return, He will judge all people, and those who have trusted in Him will enter into eternal life, while those who have rejected Him will face eternal separation from God. The full restoration of creation will occur, and God's Kingdom will be established forever (Revelation 21:1–5; Matthew 25:31–46; 1 Thessalonians 4:13–18).
